Ruth Hoover Ellison, 84, passed away March 19, 2005. She was born March 24, 1920 in Provo, Utah to Frank and Ruth Eugene Noyes Hoover.
She was employed at Kress Co. and Geneva Steel.
She married John A. Ellison March 2, 1963.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions.
She is survived by her children, Donald (Susan) Ellison, Ellen (Scott) Guptill, JoAnna (Dewane) Ferrin, Diana (Dennis) Boyle, John (Trenna) Ellison, Elizabeth (Greg) Gilbert, AnnaGene (Lyle) McClune, 36 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Wells, Woodrow and Monte, sisters Virginia Hoover and June Innes, husband John and son Frank.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview 5th Ward Chapel, 1555 North 1350 West, Provo.
Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 E. Center Street, as well as Saturday morning at the church, from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
