Funeral: 10 a.m. today in the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi.
BILOXI --- Larry Fountain Sr., 59, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, in Biloxi.
Mr. Fountain was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident. He retired as a captain from the Biloxi Fire Department after 24 1/2 years and he was a member of the Biloxi Firefighters Local 1583. Mr. Fountain was a member of St. Johns Parrish and past member of North Biloxi Jaycees, past member of the Fleur de Lis Society and past member of D'Iberville Moose Lodge. He was a U.S. Army veteran and an honorary member of VFW Post No. 2434 in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Emma Fountain; and two brothers, Kenneth Fountain and Carl Fountain.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Fayard Fountain of Biloxi; a daughter, Sonya Miller and her husband, Kenneth, of Gulfport; three sons, Larry Fountain Jr. of Gulfport, William Fountain and his wife, Terri, of D'Iberville and Shane Fountain of Biloxi; two former daughters-in-law, Delores Fountain and Tambra Fountain; two sisters, Miriam Spragio of Biloxi and Helen Grace Borries of St. Martin; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. A service will be at 10 a.m. today in the funeral home chapel.
