Amber Marie Feeney Robirds, 26, of North Platte, NE, died Sunday, December 27, 2009, at her home in North Platte surrounded by her family. Amber was born May 8, 1983, to Tom Feeney at North Platte. She attended Maxwell Public School and graduated from there in 2002. Amber then attended Mid-Plains Community College where she pursued a degree in teaching. Her longtime goal was to be a school counselor, but she put that on hold for a year and had a daycare in her home. Amber loved her daycare as well as the children she cared for. On June 20, 2008, Amber married Breydon ''Brady'' Scott Robirds II at North Platte where they made their home. The last year of her life she tried to prepare her son for the bright future she knew he would have. Through the grief she suffered, she helped her son, Breydon, celebrate life. Together they would go fishing and swimming at the river. This past summer, Amber made sure they had a vacation with all of her family going to a water park where they had the time of their lives. Later, Amber, Brady and Breydon went to Jamaica with the help of many good friends and family.
Though her trials were painful and many, Amber treasured her true friends that stood by her. Some of her last words were of thanking everyone for helping her. Always a please or thank you and even an I''m sorry if she thought she hurt your feelings. We loved Amber dearly. Her Daddy walked her right to the Pearly Gates on Sunday, December 27, 2009, and into the hands of our Lord. We loved her but now she no longer suffers. Amber was a loving wife, devoted mother, gracious granddaughter, appreciative daughter, loving niece and a very respected big sister. Survivors include her husband, Brady, and son, Breydon Robirds III of North Platte; her father, Tom (Opal) Feeney of Maxwell; a sister, Brittany Feeney of Maxwell; four brothers, Aaron Feeney of Lincoln, NE, Drew and Bryce Feeney of Maxwell and Alex (Ashlee) Feeney of Ft. Campbell, KY; stepbrothers, Ryan Rankin of Cozad, NE and Kyle (Shandell) Rankin of Wichita Falls, TX; her father and mother-in-law, Pepper and Kathy Dotson of North Platte; grandparents, John and Joyce Feeney of Maxwell; a grandmother, Merlene Hendricks of Ashton, ID; her grandfather, Merlin Bullard of Wichita, KS; grandparents, Dean Dodge of Callaway, NE, Wayne Dotson and Shadow Adkins both of North Platte; two sisters-in-law, Megan (Frank) Harwager and Misty Robirds all of North Platte; her stepsisters-in-law, Sheila (Mark) Bigelow and Dianna (Matt) Brouillette all of North Platte; a stepbrother-in-law, Dan Dotson of North Platte; her aunts, Terre Feeney and Judy Sturdivant; uncles, Matt Feeney and Tim (Pam) Feeney; five nieces, Alayna, Krista, Hailey, Tayler and Makayla; 6 nephews, Noah, Tanner, Trey, Mason, Logan and Coltan; her cousins, Jaylon, Eamonn and Kyer; and other family.
