MERIDIAN — Services for Ralph E. Avers, 65, 5810 Pierce Park Lane, Boise, who died at his home of natural causes Saturday afternoon, will be conducted at 11 m Wednesday at Robison Chace) of the Chimes in Meridian by the Rev. Charles Easley.
He was born March 12, 1906, in Meridian where he was raised. He attended and graduated from Meridian High School. He married Gwendolyn Avers in 1942. She died in January, 1965. Ho drove truck for about 40 years. He had lived in California and Nevada for many years and returned to the Boise area in 1965. He married Viola Elam, March 13, 1965, at Carson City, Nev., and had been retired for the past five years.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Viola of Boise; four sons, Ralph E. Avers Jr., place unknown; Charles Avers, John Ayers, both of Iowa Park, Tex., and Larry Ayers, unknown; six daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Tendlebury of New Mexico, Mrs. Gwendolyn Wild, Oakdale, Calif., Mrs. Deanna Hughes, Iowa Park, Patricia Ayers, San Jose, Calif., Mrs. Melodie Cart, San Jose, Calif. and Mary Ayers, Oakdale, Calif.; two brothers, Glen Avers, Meridian and Zack Ayers, Corvallis, Ore,; and nine grandchildren.
Contributions may he made to the Heart Fund or to a favorite charity.
