Funeral services for a former Plymouth farmer, Shannon P. Clement, 83, of Exeter, California, were conducted at Kelso Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 21.

Mr. Clement died October 16, 1969 in Exeter, California, where he had lived since 1940. He was the late father of Mrs. Ray Peeples.

In charge of the services were the Rev. J.B. Sharp of Southland and the Rev. Leroy Gaston, pastor of First Baptist Church.

Burial was in the Plymouth Cemetery under the direction of Kelso Funeral Home. Pallbearers were E.W. Clement, J.B. Sharp, Carl Clement, Eli Clement, Stansell Clement and Cecil Clement.

Mr. Clement had operated a fruit ranch since going to Exeter.

Born at Wolfe City on January 10, 1886, Mr. Clement lived in Wilbarger County before coming to the Plymouth Community in 1919. He lived there until he moved to California.

He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Murphy Clement of Exeter; four daughters; Mrs. Hellen Peeples, Mrs. Trula M. Willoughby of Fresno, California, Mrs. Eula Fay (Wesley) Sparlin and Mrs. Erma Rhea (V.O.) Kerns of Tulare, California; two step-daughters, Mrs. Bill Gowett of Woodlake, California and Mrs. Jim Brown of Medford, Oregon, and a step-son, Emerson Jackson of Exeter.

There are five brothers: T.C. Clement of Wellington, Carey Clement of Perryton, Houston Clement and Hampton Clement of Amarillo: and Herman Clement of Vernon.

Thirteen grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren also survive.
