Mrs. Violet M. Stavely, 53, wife of Harry W. Stavely Jr., 14 W. King St., Littlestown, died Sunday morning at the Hanover Hospital.
A daughter of Roy and Frances (Dungan) Kent, Warsaw, Va., she is also survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Robert E. Sanford Jr., Fredericksburg, Va.; these brothers and sisters; John J. Kent and Mrs. Alma Thrift, both of Warsaw, Va., and Wilbur E. Kent, Lottsburg, Va., and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Annie Davis, Warsaw, VA.
She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown; the Parish Council of Catholic Women, the Women's Community Club of Littlestown; the Eagles Auxiliary of Littlestown and the Adams County Arts and Crafts Guild.
Funeral services will be held at the Little Funeral Home, Littlestown, at 9:30 to go to the St. Aloysius Catholic Church for the Mass of Christian Burial, at which Rev. Fr. Richard J. Zimmerman will officiate, at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Rev. Fr. Zimmerman will conduct a prayer service at the funeral home at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening, but there will be no viewing.
