Mr. Connie Ed Cummings, a resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010 in Oklahoma City at the age of 88. He was born on March 6, 1922 to Thomas R. and Jemima (Yarhola) Cummings in Hanna, Oklahoma. On March 8, 1947, he married Ann Cloud. Mr. Cummings worked as a Truck Driver for Harpool Tank Truck. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Jemima Cummings; two sisters Elouse Turpin and Luella Lee and brother, David Cummings. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ann Cummings of the home; daughter Aleta Ruth Berry and husband Phillip of Oklahoma City and son Stephen Richard and wife Shirley of Midwest City, as well as 3 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Visitation for Connie will he held on Tuesday, August 24th from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Henryetta. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25th at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at the Hillabee Family Cemetery, east of Hanna under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home of Henryetta
Pallbearers will be Stephen Richard, Steven Wind, Phillip Berry and Timothy Berry.
