Dies Wed. Jan. 2
John J. Richmond, 74, Valley resident for 18 years died at the Langdale Hospital, January 2, services being conducted from the resident in Plant City Sunday afternoon with the Rev. W. C. Foster officiating, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Peek.
Mr. Richmond had been in ill halth several months, and seriously ill for a week. He was well known in the Valley and an active member of the Christian church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs.Zula Toney Richomnd; three sons, Arthur of Austelle, Roy of LaGrange, Dale of Griffin; one daughger, Mrs. M. G. Wilson of Columbus, and two grandchildren.
Burial was in Shawmut, conducted by Johnson and Blakely, funeral directors.
