Mintora Stella (Stone) Wheeless was born in Jefferson Township, White County, AR to George Washington Dallas "Dal" and Lucinda "Lucindy"(Strickland) Stone on 22 Jan 1889 as the eighth child. She married Jessie Thomas Wheeless in White County, AR. The Wheeless family and two families of Mintora Wheeless' siblings, Mary Ann (Stone) Nelson Day and John Elmer Stone relocated to Walnut Ridge, Lawrence County, AR. The Wheeless family and the Stone family remained in Walnut Ridge but the Day family relocated to Texas and later to New Mexico. Mrs. Wheeless was mother to eight children. McNabb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
