COLEMAN GENTRY

KENNEY: Coleman Gentry, 81, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Virginia Dement, at Hallsville, IL, at 6:10 a.m. Sunday, January 1, 1950.

The body was taken to Roby Funeral Home in Kenney where it will remain until Monday morning when it will be taken to the home of his daughter in Hallsville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hallsville Christian Church. Funeral services will be in charge of the Rev. H. B. Wheaton.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Waynesville, IL.

He was born March 21, 1868 in Jackson County, KY, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gentry. He was married to Miss Mary Lee Broughton in Kentucky on February 22, 1889.

Surviving are a son, Farris Gentry of Hallsville, a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Dement of Hallsville; a brother, Charles Gentry of Hallsville and a sister, Mrs. Laura Abner of Glendale, CA.

His wife preceded him in death in April of 1949. Also, he was preceded in death by five children.
