"The body of Mrs. Ada Spencer, wife of Frank Spencer, who was killed last Sunday in a runaway at Arickaree, Colo., arrived here last night and was taken to the home of the husband's mother, Mrs. G. M. Spencer, 1111 South Twenty-eighth street. The funeral service was conducted this morning at the residence, the Rev. T. H. Capp of the King Hill Christian Church officiating. Interment was in Nelson Cemetery, five miles southeast of the city." St Joseph News-Press, July 25, 1912
