Mrs. Plowman, the widow of Martin Oscar Plowman, died Wednesday morning at a St Joseph hospital, where she had been a patient ten days. An invalid for years, she lived at 1309 North 10th street. Her husband died May 19, 1931.
Born on Pine Hill farm near Weston, she had lived here most of her life. Her parents were Nels Peter and Enger Hoverson Nelson. She attended Dr. Martin's Young Ladies' Institute here, and Evelyn's College at Princeton, N. J.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Nelson Hillix, Roy F. Nelson and Miss Nora Nelson live here. Miss Emma E. Nelson, a former St Joseph resident, resides at Tryon, N. C., with her brother, Fred Nelson." St Joseph News-Press, July 28, 1966
