Funeral services for Maxine Cole Burdine, Age 84 will be held at 10:00 am Monday, August 23, 2010 at the Haynesville United Methodist Church with Dr. Richard May and Rev. Dave Sheehan officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. at the Williamson Cemetery in Gibsland, La. under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Haynesville, La.
Visitation will be from 5;00 to 7:00 P. M. Sunday at Bailey Mortuary.
Mrs. Burdine, a former resident of Haynesville, La. and resident of Minden, La. the past 11 years, died Friday, August 20, 2010 in Haynesville, La. She was a member of the Haynesville United Methodist Church, a retired bank teller from Planters Bank & Trust Co. and a homemaker. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Shelton Irwin Cole, on February 28, 1963 and by a brother, Bert Goree.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Spurgeon Burdine, of Minden, La., daughter, Martha Lynn Cole McGrew and husband, Chris of Albuquerque, NM, son, Tim Cole and wife, Lisa of Haynesville, La. Grandchildren, Thomas Cole, Phillip Cole, Hannan McGrew and Sarah McGrew.
Serving as pallbearers will be Phillip Cole, Thomas Cole, Dan Montgomery, Jimmy Monzingo, Will Albercrobbie and Lee Simms.
