LEXINGTON: Feuerborn, Dwight N., 69, died Thursday. Services 10am Tuesday, Our Lady of Victory Catholic church (Wadley's, Purcell).


10/23/2003- The Purcell Register:
A Mass of Christian Burial for Dwight Nicholas Feuerborn Sr., 69, of Lexington, was held 10/21/2003 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic church in Purcell, with Rev Ray Akerman officiating. Interment was at St. John the Baptist Catholic cemetery in Lexington under direction of Wadley's funeral service. Mr Feuerborn died 10/16/2003 at the Comanche County hospital in Lawton.

He was born 1/8/1934 in Oklahoma City, the son of Lawrence & Ruby Hill Feuerborn. He was reared in the Slaughterville area, attending the Alamo grade school and the Noble high school. He had lived in Lexington for the past 11 years, coming from Blanchard. Mr Feuerborn joined the National Guard in 1950 and was sent to Korea with the 45th Division Thunderbird. During his enlistment, he served in Japan, Germany, Vietnam, Lancing, Mich., and Washington D.C., spending 5 1/2 years assigned to President Dwight Eisenhower and 1 year with the military advisory group in Viet Nam. Mr Feuerborn married Martha Inez Tilley 2/20/1954 in Lexington. He was President of the First State Bank in Lexington from 1974-1979 and also owned and operated Sooner Rubber in Lindsay & Chickasha and F&F Specialties in Chickasha and was an oil field supply manager and food distributor. He helped build the Slaughterville Volunteer fire department and was Slaughterville City Treasurer. He was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Veterans of Foreign Wars, 40 & eight, Old Mens Breakfast Club, Scottish Rite, Knights of Columbus, Lexington Chamber of Commerce, and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Inez, of the home, 4 sons, Dwight Jr & his wife Kim and David & his wife Theresa, all of Ponca City, Jeff of Lexington, and Eric & his wife Carla of Anadarko, a daughter, Cheryl Schmidt of Blanchard, a brother, Donald Feuerborn of Mississippi, 3 sisters, Delores Littlefield of Chickasha, Virginia Walker and Ellen Poole, both of Arizona, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
