Mrs. Lucy CANCELMO (MANCINI) BUDANO, 67, of 83 Prospect St., died yesterday in St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Popoli, Italy, daughter of the late Bonafacio and Barardina (COMITO) CANCELMO, and came to this country about 60 years ago.
Her husband, Giovanni BUDANO, died in 1939. She leaves four sons, Justin and Bonifacio MANCINI of Palmer, Michael BUDANO of Worcester, and Ercolina BUDANO of Norwalk, Calif.; seven daughters, Phyllis, wife of Benjamin WIECHNIAK, Mrs. Amelia BELCUFINE, Lucy, wife of Stanley DONISVITCH, Rita, wife of Donald SMITH, all of Worcester, Mrs. Josephine PEARSON of Upton, Mrs. Mary MOORE of Roxbury, and Angelina, wife of Kenneth BURDICK of Clinton; a brother, Joseph CANCELMO of Worcester; two sisters, Palmina, wife of Ralph GIANETTE of Worcester, and Rose, wife of Francis PROSSER of Milford; a half-sister, Barardina, wife of Peter DICARLO of Minneapolis, Minn.; 37 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Tuesday from Arthur S. Manzi & Son Funeral Home, 179 Shrewsbury St., with a High Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Monday.
