Homer Witt Bare, age 89 years died at Kansas Masonic Home, Wichita, Kansas, July 3, 1966, where he had resided the past three years. Homer, son of James Polk Bare and Harriet Wilson Bare was born April 4, 1877, near Douglass.
He had resided in this community all of his life.
He married Lottie Farnsworth, September 13, 1905 at Augusta. She prceded him in death August 5, 1964, as did two sons Delmar and Marvin. He was a member of the Douglass Christian and Douglass Masonic Lodge No. 151.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Treva Wells, Douglass, one son Olave Bare, Arkansas City, Kansas, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 6, 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Douglass Christian Church, Rev. Maurice Bigger officiating.
Graveside services concluded by Douglass Masonic Lodge.
Interment in Douglass cemetery.
