Ralph V. Kennel, 62, a prominent Liberty Township farmer and a member of an old Butler County family, died Friday afternoon at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati where he had been a patient since Tuesday. Mr. Kennel retired from farming eight years ago, and moved to Lakeland, Florida He was in the county visiting members of his family when he became ill on Tuesday.

A member of College Heights Methodist Church, Lakeland, Florida, he leaves his wife, Bertha Kennel; two sons, Kenneth Kennel, Hamilton, and Charles Kennel, West Chester; five daughters, Mrs. Esther Thompson, Tampa, Florida, Mrs. Muriel Oliver, St. Petersburg, Florida, Mrs. Freda Gschwender and Mrs. Doris Gschwender, both of Lakeland, Florida, and Mrs. Eunice Richards, Ft. Huachana, Arizona, 18 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Louella Sixt, Gibson, Illinois, five brothers, Lester Kennel, Middletown, Elmer Kennel, Lakeland, Florida, Alvin Kennel, Berne, Indiana, Elton Kennel, Brookville, Indiana, and Willard Kennel, Kalispell, Montana.
Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Liberty Township.
