#2-25 Nov., 1909 - Blair Democrat - George W. Becraft - Veteran The remains of Geo. W. Becraft arrived here last Saturday from the soldier’s home at Grand Island where the old man had been making his home for the past year. Mr. Becraft made his home in this city for a number of years and was about 83 years old. Upon their arrival the remains were taken charge of by the Odd Fellows of which order the deceased was a member, and the funeral was held under their auspices. Mr. Becraft was also an old soldier, and the pallbearers were partly taken from the members of the post here.

George Beecraft died at the Soldiers' Home in Grand Island last Wednesday. The remains were brought to Blair Friday where the funeral services were held under the auspies of the Grand Army Post and the Odd Fellows Lodge, of which he had been a member for sixty-one years. He was born in New York in 1826 and had lived in this county over forty years.
He was in Co. G, 1st Michigan Calvary.

George is listed in the Blair cemetery BUT his name on Elnor's stone is BECRAFT.
Also note he does not have a visible stone but there's one broken off at ground level with a GAR flag holder there (I am thinking that's where George is buried, but cannot confirm).
