Lynn Franklin Ingram, 81, of Sikeston, MO, died Feb. 6, 2009, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 2, 1927, in Sikeston, son of the late Prather and Laura (Moore) Ingram, He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sikeston, a veteran of the US Army, was Scott County Circuit Clerk for over 30 years and served as 2nd District Commissioner in Scott County for two years. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Henry Meldrum American Legion Post 114, Masonic Lodge No. 310, Past Worthy Patron of Sikeston Eastern Star, Elks Lodge, Eagles, Shriners and Scott County Democratic Committee.
On Jan. 1, 1950, he married Alberta "Bert" Gardner; she preceded him in death on Feb. 7, 1984.
Survivors include: one son, Mark Ingram; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Craig Brinkman and Beverly and Jim Carney; one sister, Frances Schmerbauch; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
One sister, Tessie Freeman, preceded him in death.
Visitation was at Ponder Funeral Home, where funeral services were held. The Rev. Geoff Posegate, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiated.
Burial with full military honors will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston. Pallbearers were Mark Ingram, Bart Carney, Kerry Lang, Corey Elder, Chris Goodman and Mike Dillender.
Honorary pallbearers were Cletus Tanner, Jim Schmerbauch, Jerry Moore, Windy Blackman, Joe Beck, Ray McCord, and John Scarbrough.
