Mrs. Bonnie Marenda Arthur, 92, of Athens, passed peacefully from this life to be with her Lord on Thursday; Feb. 15,2007. She was born June 6; 1914, in the Blackjack community to her parents, Lee and Ida Hood, and lived most of her life in Henderson County. She took great pride in being a homemaker and mother of seven children. She will be remembered by many in the community as "Ms. Bonnie," and was affectionately known as "Bubba" to her grandchil-dren.
Mrs. Arthur was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Bobby Dan Arthur, Mike Arthur and Ricky Arthur; brothers, Henry Hood, Otis Hood and Roy Hood; and sisters, Iva Werneking, Essie Perkins,
Odie Faye Brown and Donnie Smiley.
Survivors include daughters, Joan Arthur of Terrell and Pam Summerall of Athens; sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Troy and Cindy Arthur of Garland and Tommy and Maje Arthur of Sanderson; . daughters-in-law, Peggy Arthur of Round Top and Sonja Arthur of Frankston; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two great¬great grandchildren; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday; Feb. 18,2007, in the chapel of, the Cooper Funeral Home of Athens with Joe Warren and Perry Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery near Murchison.
The visitation hours of the Cooper Funeral Home are from 9 a.ill. to 9 p.m. The family will receive condolences at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6 p.m. 8 p.m.
