Darla, on extended medical leave, was a system analyst at Eli Lilly.
Darla is survived by her cousin, Jerry (Trudy) Powell; sister in law, Rosalie Powell; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins who reside in West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Martha Powell; and brother, Randy Powell.
A graveside service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2010, at The Sermon on the Mount, located in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Greenwood.
Arrangements have been entrusted to G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home.
