LITTLE FALLS -- John Clarence Czech, 95, Little Falls and formerly of Bowlus, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls.
He was born Dec. 20, 1905, in Bowlus to the late Stanley and Mary (Busey) Czech. He married Catherine E. Kalis on Oct. 22, 1928, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton. He worked at Willy's Overland Auto Assembly Plant in Toledo, Ohio, from 1928-1929. The couple returned to Bowlus in 1931 where they owned and operated a Cities Service Gas Station and Bulk Station until they retired in 1966. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Donald Czech, Minneapolis, and Dennis Czech, Elk Grove Village, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
His parents; a son, Gerald Czech; a grandson, David Czech; four brothers, Robert, Mike, Joseph and Roman Czech; and one sister, Gertrude Czech, died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus with Father Tom Czech and Father Greg Mastey officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
