He was a life-long farmer. He was a member of the Beulah Presbyterian Church and Wirt Lodge No. 82, A.F.&A.M.
Survivors included one son, Ralph C. West, Cairo; three daughters, Mrs. Irma Harper, Parkersburg, Miss Mildred West, Cleveland, O., Mrs. Julia Ott, Port Clinton, O.; two nieces and two nephews, one of the latter being Walter W. Franklin of the Franklin Funeral Home in Parkersburg.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Franklin Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert J. Topping officiating. Burial was in the Wells Cemetery in the Newark locality.
