Harley Anson White was born in February 22, 1865 in Minnesota. He was the son of Jeremiah and Harriet White. He married Annie Lien in 1895 at Prairie Farm, Barron County, Wisconsin. He was a woodsman and head sawyer for the Maiden Rock mill. They had three children - Otis Jeremiah, Hazel Generva, and Roy Anson who were all born in Wisconsin. They left Wisconsin for the west in 1917. For a while Harley White had a store in Oregon. He sold it and went to work at the University of Oregon where he was fireman for the university heating plant.

Harley and Annie celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on December 27, 1945 in Eugene, Oregon.

HARLEY A. WHITE

Harley A. White, 82, died Monday at his home at 1583 Hilyard St. He was born Feb. 22, 1865, in Minnesota.

He married Annie Lien at Prairie Farm, Wisc. Dec. 26, 1895.

He came to Eugene in 1918 and was a member of the Christian Church here.

He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Hazel Bolton, of Oroville, Cal.; two sons, Otis of Detroit and Roy of Burbank, Calif; 12 grandchildren, and a brother, Wellington White of Spoober, Wisc.

Funeral services will be at Simon Chapel on Wednesday, December 24, at 11 a.m. Rev. H. McCallum will officiate and he will assisted by Rev. F.L. Cook. Interment will be at the West Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
