George Elmer Snyder, age 42 years, 6 months and 22 days, died at his home, north of Rife, Saturday, after a week's illness with pneumonia. He was a son of Amos and Lydia (Rebuck) Snyder, born at Grenbrier, July 28, 1894, and was married to Miss Ruth Rothermcl, January 26, 1918, at Urban by the Rev. Harry Kline. He was a member of the Rife Lutheran Church, was a World War Veteran and member of the Millersburg American Legion Post.
Survivors are his widow, five sons, Roy, Kermit, Arthur, John and George Snyder, and one daughter, Ruth Snyder, all at home. Other survivors are five brothers, Charles Snyder, Free-burg; Daniel Snyder, Forty Fort; Lewis Snyder, Montandon; William Snyder, Sunbury; Irvin Snyder of Selinsgrove, and two sisters, Mrs. John Wetzel, Berrysburg and Mrs. Dennis Fegley of Sunbury. Funeral services were held from the residence at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, with fur ther services in the Rife Lutheran Church.
Rev. W. Artz, pastor of the Lykens Valley Lutheran Parish officiated and interment was made in the Rife cemetery..
