Funeral services for Sharon Lee Sands will be held Friday, August 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the United Pentecostal Church in Okemah. Interment will follow at the Rock Creek Cemetery south of Okemah.
Sharon Lee Sands was born September 23, 1952 in Okemah to Alvin D. Hodge and Oma (Stacy) Edwards. She passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 57.
Sharon had been a longtime resident of Sapulpa. She owned and operated a day care center for approximately 30 years. Sharon was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Broken Arrow and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and the rest of her family.
She is preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her two daughters, Jennifer Morgan and husband Tracy of Sapulpa and Stephanie Greninger and husband Ricky also of Sapulpa; her mother, Oma Edwards and husband Olen of Okemah; her three sisters, Cherry Doll Cline and husband Ron of Lindsey, Oklahoma, Charlotte Kenneda of Seminole and Sandy Hodge of Seminole; and nine grandchildren.
Serving as active pallbearer will be Chad Cruce, Brandon Cline, Brett Cline, James Kenneda, Bill Cody Kenneda, and Patrick Poulsen.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah and officiated by Rev. Raymond L. Stacy and Rev. Guy Godwin.
