He died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, in a car accident in Tukwila, Wash.
David was born on Feb. 11, 1966, in Tilden to Ray and Joyce (Emory) Doerr. He was baptized at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilden and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview.
David was raised and went to school in Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1984 and the University of Nebraska in 1989 with a degree in business. David moved to Seattle in 1991.
On Aug. 30, 1997, he was united in marriage to Patrice Johnson in Seattle and became the father of two stepchildren, Natisha and Billy. In 1998, their child, Davis Ray, was born. David was presently employed at Guidance Software as senior account executive.
David had a strong personality, which allowed him to live life to its fullest. Everything he did was 100 percent, which was evident in his golf game. He played many rounds of golf at the Plainview Country Club while growing up.
David's drive was most evident in the pride and joy he exhibited as a parent. He loved introducing Davis to his favorite sports of golf and basketball and took tremendous pride in teaching him and watching him grow. David and Patrice shared a love of the Oregon coast and cherished the many vacations spent there with family and friends.
David is survived by his wife, Patrice; son Davis; stepchildren Natisha and Billy; parents Ray and Joyce Doerr of Plainview; sister Susan (Rock) Fehringer of Pierce; stepgrandchildren Isaac, Mateo and Amara; several nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
