Mrs. Bertie Mae Mahan, 66, widow of Michael Herbert Mahan, died at a Norfolk hospital Thursday at 7 p.m. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John W. Stallings and Mrs. Martha Odom, both of Norfolk; a brother, Joseph Ault, of Dalton, Ga. and two grandchildren, Arthur H. Stallings, of Norfolk and Pvt. Joseph C. Odom, USMC.
Mrs. Mahan was a native of Dalton, Ga. and had been a resident of Norfolk for 24 years, residing at 217 W. 16th St. She was in the employ of Ames & Brownley in the shoe department for a number of years.
The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home.
