Mrs. Bessie Boggs

Mrs. Bessie Lorean Boggs, 76, of 719 Woodland Ave., died at 6 a.m. yesterday in a local nursing home after four years illness. She was the widow of Howard L. Boggs who died in 1946.

Mrs. Boggs was born in Belmont County, June 18, 1884, and resided in Elyria 40 years. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and a past president of the Woman's Society of Christian Service of the Church.

Surviving are three sons, James Earl Boggs, former chief of the Elyria Police Department and now police c hief in Pompano Beach, Fla; Howard R. and Charles E. Boggs, both of Elyria; a daughter, Mrs. Garr Burt, Wilmington, Ill; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Costigan and Mrs. Adelbert Ault, both of Elyria.

Serviceds will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Sudro-Curtis Funeral Home with Dr. Earl R. Henderson officiating and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. Friends may call at the funeral home.
