Alma Odell Leftwich Brown died Wednesday, December 12, 1900 in the Medical Care Center. Her husband was the late Charlie Daniel Brown, Sr.

Born in Bedford County, VA, she was a daughter of the late John Fizer Leftwich and Hester Wilson Leftwich. She was a retired employee of Appomattox Garment Company and a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Charlie D. Brown, Jr. of Lynchburg and Wesley T. Brown and William P. Brown, both of Forest; three daughters, Mrs. Roland K. (Eloise) Peters and Mrs. H. Marshall (Susan) Watt, both of Lynchburg, and Mrs. Edgar R. (Betty) Whitmore of Albuquerque, NM; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel by the Rev. Steve Spangler, with burial in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
