Mrs. Bertie Nelson Forsythe, 89, who moved to Salisbury in 1970 from Philadelphia, died Thursday in her home, at 617 Oak Hill Ave. after a long illness. Her husband is James [sic] Forsythe.
Born in Salisbury, she was a daughter of the late John and Caroline Blessing Nelson.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Water Collings, Salisbury, and Mrs. Doris Dennis, Miami, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 17 great-granchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled Monday at 2 p.m. in the Hill-Baker-Bounds Funeral Home. David Pedwell of the Jehovah's Witnesses will officiate. Interment will be in Parsons Cemetery.
