BECHTHOLD, ALBERT
Albert Bechthold, 92, of Acampo died Oct. 6 in Sherman Oaks. He was born July 3, 1904, in Milltown, S.D.
Mr. Bechthold moved to Lodi in 1978 from Walla Walla, Wash., where he lived for 40 years before retiring. He was a dairy farmer. He married his wife, Sarah Schumacher, in 1931 in North Dakota.
He was a member of Fairmont Seventh-day Adventist Church and enjoyed being a handyman and tending to his vegetable garden.
Mr. Bechthold is preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Bechthold; and a sister, Alyce Cookenmaster.
Mr. Bechthold is survived by his wife, Sarah Bechthold of Acampo; a daughter, Jerralee Bailey of Laguna Beach; a son, John R. Bechthold of Sherman Oaks; a brother, William Bechthold of Lodi; three sisters, Alma Spaulding of Nebraska, Irene McLeodon of Lakeside and Val Bechthold of Grass Valley.
A graveside service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Lodi Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Ron Carlson of Fairmont Seventh-day Adventist Church officiating. Committal is at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will not be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Service of California, 11266 Washington Place, Culver City, 90340, or to the charity of the donor's choice. Lodi Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
