Claim Two
By United Press International Two separate weekend traffic accidents claimed the lives of two Salt Lake City residents.
Killed were George Irvin Branch 33, and Gay Suzette Borg, 18, both of Salt Lake City.
Branch was killed when his motorcycle collided with a Union Pacific two-car passenger train on the west side of Salt Lake City.
Union Pacific conductor D.J. McMurphy said he did not see the approaching vehicle until it was too late. Branch was knocked off the motorcycle and thrown 45 feet after impact.
Miss Borg was killed early Sunday when the four-wheeldrive vehicle in which she was riding hit a utility pole.
Dennis Michael Dodge, the driver of the vehicle, was treated at Holy Cross Hospital and released.
