Fletcher (Staff) -- Mrs. Hazel W. Ellis, 59, a resident here since about 1905, died Sunday [11 Feb 1962] at her home after an extended illness.
Services will be at 10 am Wednesday [14 Feb 1962] in the Dalton Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Donald E. Hafeman, pastor of the Lawton[, Oklahoma] St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Fletcher Cemetery.
Born June 27, 1902, at Iowa Park, Tex[as], Mrs. Ellis came to Fletcher[, Oklahoma] about 1905 as a child. She married Erastus Ellis at Stony Point[, Oklahoma] on Jan[uary] 1, 1924.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter: Mrs. Vera Boyd [of] Roseburg, Ore[gon]; five sons: Bill [Ellis] of Meckling, [South Dakota], Floyd [Ellis] of [Fletcher, Oklahoma], Walter [Ellis] of [Fletcher, Oklahoma],Melvin [Ellis] of [Fletcher, Oklahoma], and Gerald [Ellis] of [Fletcher, Oklahoma]; her mother: Mrs. Dora Ahlwardt [of] Fletcher[, Oklahoma]; five sisters: Mrs. Bertha Morris [of] Cleo Springs, Okla[homa], Mrs. Pearl Pennington [of] Los Angeles, Calif[ornia], Mrs. Clara Clark [of] Davenport, Okla[homa], Mrs. Lillian Ahlwardt [of] Norman[, Oklahoma], and Mrs. Oma Boelen [of] Fletcher[, Oklahoma].
