Lois Faye Coker, Mammaw, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Friday, August 13, 2010 at the age of 86 years. She was born on September 6, 1923 to Arthur and Rosie Nichols in Angus, Texas. Lois was raised in Navarro County and was retired from Texas Miller Products and earlier in life worked at Wolf Brand Chili and Collins Street Bakery where her co-workers were her extended family. She was a member of Calvary Worship Center in Corsicana. Lois loved her brothers and sisters in Christ and really enjoyed serving them and with them. Her delight in life was seeing that someone else's needs were met. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren, and really enjoyed spending time with them.
Lois is survived by her husband Norvil Coker of Corsicana. Sons; Earl Coker and his wife Cecelia of San Angelo and Johnny Coker and his wife Pat of Keller. Four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Three sisters, Eula Petty of Corsicana, Luda Andrews of Corsicana, Ruth Holloway of Corsicana, and a brother Lloyd Nichols of Waxahachie. She is also survived by her caregivers, Jimmy D. Coker of Navarro, Karen Tate of Corsicana, and Val Vent of Corsicana.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6 - 8p.m. at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton - Beeman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her Grandson's
