SHAWN REEVES THE YOUNGEST OF seven children born to Andrew and Mary Redmond, Sr., on September 12, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan.
Shawn graduated from Central High School where she found her live for the medical profession. She started her career at Ross Medical School majoring in Medical Technology.
At the time of her demise, Shawn was a senior at Wayne State University pursuing her dream to become a Pediatrician.
Shawn married her high school sweetheart, Kevin Martin Reeves on June 30, 1983 while he was a senior at Devry University in Chicago. To this union she became the proud mother of two children, Tanesha and Kevin Jr. Her children became her life, pride and joy.
In 1979, Shawn was presented by her parents as a Debutant at Cobo Hall. She possessed a jovial and magnetizing personality always lending a helping hand and never turning a death ear to anyone.
At an early age, she accepted Christ and was baptized at Chapel Hill Baptist Church. Her devotion to God's work continued as a member of True Rock Baptist Church where she was faithful serving on the Nurses Guild and Pastors Aide Society.
After ten blissful years of marriage, Shawn and Kevin renewed their wedding vows at True Rock Baptist Church June 1993. Shawn and Kevin wrote their personal vows to reflect tlhe deep love they had for one another.
Her precious love and everlasting memories will always be cherished as an eternal flame in the hearts of her loving family: Parents, Andrew and Mary Redmond, one sister, Clarita Bedgood (Jerome), four brothers, Gregory, Kevin (Christy), Victor Redmond, one brother Andrew whom preceded her in death in 1989, and Willie Thomas, one grandmother, two aunts, two uncles, one great uncle, one great aunt and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 14, 1994 at Greater Grace Temple Of The Apostolic Faith, Inc., 19190 Schaefer, Detroit, Michigan, Reverend Darrly L. Redmond, Officiating.
