The funeral of William Platt Pepper, who died at his home, 1730 Chestnut street, early Saturday morning, was held at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Church of the Ascension, Broad and South streets. The ceremony was the simple and impressive oe of the Episcopal Church and floral tributes, in deference to the wishes of the family were omitted. Mr. Pepper was a noted lawyer and widely known for his philanthropy. Interment was made at Laurel Hill Cemetery."
