Born in the Mattoon section of Crittenden County, Robert Love Moore attended the public school system and after completion of elementary education entered Medical School at the University of Louisville and received his medical degree. He received his Law degree from the University of Chicago.

Familiarly known in all sections as "Dr. Bob" he was a former Mayor of the city, County Judge, County Attorney and City Judge and known to persons in all walks of life.

Survivors are his wife, formerly Onie Howerton, a daughter, Mrs. Roberta Wheeler.
