On December 15, 1831, Peter married Sarah Beck. She died soon afterward and on August 30, 1832, he married Mary Good. She was the daughter of Samuel Good and a niece of his first wife, Christiana Good.
In his will, Jacob Kafroth gave to his son, Peter, a 30-acre tract of his land on which were a grist, saw, and merchant mill on the Conestoga creek in Earl Township, and a two-story stone house (Lancaster County will O1-228). The will identifies Peter's siblings as: George, Juliana, Maria, Salome wife of Mehlhorn, and Susanna wife of William Heiss.
