Services for Dorothy Lewis Davis of Summit are 10 a.m., Saturday, April 20, at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb with burial in Ramah Church Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Burris will officiate.
Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Davis, 81, died April 17, 2002, at her residence. She was born in Franklin County on Jan. 22, 1921, to Floyd and Mary Lofton Lewis.
She owned and operated Village Flower Shop in Summit in the early 1980s. She was a homemaker. She started the first kindergarten program at First Baptist Church in Summit in the early 1960s. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Summit.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 49 years, Helton McCarty Davis; and her grandsons, Zack and Ted Davis.
Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Hailey Davis of Laurel and Floyd and Kay Davis of Summit; her daughters and son-in-law, Becky Kennedy of Summit and Liz and John Harper of Florence; her grandchildren and their spouses, Angela and Larry Allard of Ft. Myers, Fla., Brad Kennedy of Brandon, Micah and Clancy Davis of Houston, Texas, Todd and Marla Davis and Claudia and Matt Pierce, all of Hattiesburg, Rebekah Davis of Kentwood, La., Emily Hofmister and Lauren Harper of Florence and Dusty Davis of Summit; her great-grandchildren, Amanda Al-Bahou and Ashlea Al-Bahou of Ft. Myers, and Ted Jackson Davis of Kentwood.
Pallbearers will be Dusty Davis, Micah Davis, Todd Davis, Matt Pierce, John Harper and Brad Kennedy
