Fletcher (Staff) -- Services for Millard Glass, 82, who died unexpectedly [on] Friday morning [02 Jul 1965] at his home in Raytown, M[issouri], will be at 2:30 pm [on] Monday [05 Jul 1965] in the Fletcher[, Oklahoma] Baptist Church.
Rev. Bob Lovejoy, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in [the] Fletcher Cemetery under [the] direction of Dalton Funeral Home.
Mr. Glass was born [on] Jan[uary] 13, 1883 in Cumberland Gap, V[irgini]a. He was married to Bernice Freeman [on] Nov[ember] 9, 1909 at Mulberry Gap, Tenn[essee]. They moved to Verden[, Oklahoma] in 1909 and Comanche County in 1920.
[Mr.] Glass was a rural mail carrier for 34 years, retiring in 1953. He was a member of the Baptist Church and [the] I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 520, and [the] Rebekah Lodge No. 215 at Fletcher[, Oklahoma]
Survivors are two daughters: Mrs. Mildred Haley of Skiarook[, Oklahoma] and Mrs. Venes Taylor of Raytown, M[issouri]; a son: James H. [Glass] of Raytown, M[issouri]; two sisters: Mrs. Grace Waddell of Taft, Calif[ornia] and Mrs. Flossie Fletchall of St. Joseph, M[issouri]; three brothers: Earnest Glass of Long Island, N[ew] Y[ork], P. P. Glass of Woodburn, Ore[gon], and Porter M. Glass of Fort Lauderdale, Fl[orid]a; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
