Dorothy Ann Grimes Morris, 73, of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.

She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She retired from Sunrise Manor Nursing Home after 35 years and three months in housekeeping. Along with her son and husband, she farmed for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend to all. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Annie Mary Caulk Grimes.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Fred Morris Jr., who passed away Feb. 25, 2010; and two brothers, Stanley and Woodrow Grimes.

She is survived by a son, Bobby Jr. Morris of Hodgenville; caregivers Shirley and James Childress of Mount Sherman; four brothers, Billy, Thomas and Albert Grimes, all of Campbellsville, and James Grimes of Louisville; a sister, Mary Grimes Nunn of Floyds Knobs, Ind.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Corinth Baptist Church, in Hodgenville, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Tim Magnet, pastor of Corinth Baptist Church, will officiate the services.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rust-Wright Funeral Home, 612 N. Lincoln Blvd., in Hodgenville. Rust-Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
