M.D. Reynolds, pioneer residents of Carnegie, celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at a family reunion at the City park Saturday.
It was 50 years ago to the day Sunday that Miss Mattie Anderson became the bride of M.D. Reynolds at a home wedding north of Carnegie. The couple have made their home in or near Carnegie ever since that eventful day back in 1907.
The bride was born in Georgia on April 4, 1885 and came to Oklahoma in 1906, and first met her boy friend that became her mate for 50 Golden years in the community seven miles northwest of Carnegie. Mr. Reynolds was born in Eastland county, Texas, on June 22, 1885, and moved to Washita county with his parents in 1892, and moved to Caddo county in 1902.
Eight of their children attended the Golden Wedding anniversary reunion. Including four daughters, Mrs. Bob Marcum, Coolidge, Ariz., Mrs. Dick Record, Carnegie, Mrs. Chick Samples, Gridley, Calif., Mrs. Hugh Stocking, Carnegie, and four sons, Herman, Huey and Ed of Carnegie, and Charnel Reynolds of Eakly.

Last rites for Dolph Reynolds will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Christian church with Rev. Charles Moss, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Alfalfa cemetery.
Reynolds, who had suffered a stroke last July, died Sunday in the Carnegie hospital where he had been for a week after suffering anther stroke. He had had a previous stroke many years ago.
He was born to Wesley and Isabella Reynolds on June 22, 1886, in Eastland county, Texas. When he was about three years of age he came with the family to the Alfalfa community. He was married to Mattie Belle Anderson on February 10, 1907, at Alfalfa, and ten children were born to them. Two died in infancy. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds moved to the farm two miles north of Carnegie where they lived for 23 years. They moved to their present home on East Cedar in 1942.
Survivors include his wife of the home; four sons, Herman of Gridley, Calif., Huey and Ed of Carnegie and Charnel of Eakly; four daughters, Mrs. Myrtis Marcum, Coolidge, Ariz., Mrs. Virginia Samples, Gridley, Mrs. Noveline Record and Mrs. Louise Stocking, both of Carnegie; three brothers, Jim, Carnegie, Jess and Eddie, both of El Paso, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Orma Eskew, Mountain View, Vannie Dawson, Amarillo, and Roxie Morgan Pendleton, Ky.; 28 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
