Corp. Claud Morris enlisted with the Tank Corps Nov. 1917, and went overseas the first of January 1918. He was the son of Mrs. S.L. Harrington. He died Oct. 13, 1919 of lobar pneumonia. He had been in many engagements over there, but as far as they know he had never been wounded. His letters were always cheerful and in his last letter he told them that he would be home to eat Christmas dinner with them. The message came to his brother, Harold Harrington, and was forwarded to his mother, who is in Oakland, Cal. spending the winter with a daughter. It is an extremely sad case for he is the fourth child she has buried, and two husbands. We wish to express the sympathy of the entire community.
