William Ingwersen, 98, pioneer of Keya Paha County, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, May 20, 1959, in the Ainsworth [Nebraska] hospital.

William Richard Ingwersen was born January 10, 1961, at DeWitt, Iowa. He was the eldest son of William F. and Jane Ingwersen.

He was united in marriage to Mary Folck on June 19, 1887. To this union seven children were born: Walter L., Brandon, Oregon; Clarence H., Hay Springs, Nebraska; Ralph J., Tacoma, Washington; Mrs. Iva A. Bower, Ainsworth; Letha B. Lambert, Los Angeles, California; Almira J. Hulshizer, Long Beach, California; and William F., Meeteetse, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his wife on November 9, 1951.

He was a member of the Methodist Church in Springview. For the last few years he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Iva Bower of Ainsworth. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lillian Selsor of Lincoln, Nebraska; one brother, Otto Ingwersen of Riverside, California; his seven children; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
