Maude O. Mumford, 90, of Heartland Manor Nursing Home, Casey, died at 12:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 1984, in Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, with the Rev. Jerry McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Casey Washington St. Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today, Monday, at the funeral home.

She was born February 7, 1894, in Clark County to Mortimer and Fannie Brewer Sherman. She was married December, 30, 1914, to Frank Mumford. He died December 7, 1964. She was a member of the Casey First Christian Church. Surviving are four sons, Carl of Tuscon, Arizona; Pearl and Denver, both of Casey; and Ronald of Phoenix, Arizona; four daughters, Lucille Weber of Green Valley, Arizona; Rosalie Blankenbaker and Eleanor Stifal, both of Casey; and Lillian Hoppe of Denver, Colorado: two brothers, Clarence Sherman and Bruce Sherman, both of Casey; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter.
