Services for J.E. Bullion were held at the First Christian Church. He died at his home, near the church building after suffering a stroke of paralysis.

When he was six years old, his family moved to Burnett County, Texas from Arkansas. He continued to live there and near Mason until his marriage.

Joseph Bullion married Miss Susan Alice Beal on 10 January 1886. The couple moved to Knox County and lived near Truscott for several years. They spent 10 years in the Rio Grande Valley. In 1927, the couple moved to Seymour.

Survived by his wife; children - Lee Bullion, Mrs. E.R. McCutchon, John Bullion, Mrs. J.M. Edwards, Clyde Bullion, Mrs. J.M. Mobley, Tom Bullion, Mrs. O.W. Caussey, Miss Hazel Bullion; three sisters - Mrs. Neal Wood, Mrs. O.A. Beal, Mrs. S.K, Reagor.

Mr. Bullion was a carpenter by trade. He converted to the Christian church at the age of 46.
