Sheila A. Ballard, 36, Joplin route 3, died at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday at her home after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Miss Ballard was born Feb. 2, 1958, in Joplin.
She lived most of her life in Joplin. She lived three years at Los Angeles, Calif., where she was medical secretary for the Los Angeles County Medical Association. She lived seven years at Kansas City, where she was secretary for the United Way. She returned to Joplin in March.
She was member of Park Plaza Christian Church, Joplin.
Survivors include her parents, Bob and Kay Ballard, Joplin: a brother, Bob Ballard Jr., Joplin; and maternal grandmother, Nellie Comer, Baxter Springs, Kan.
Arrangements are pending with Parker Mortuary.
