Richard Mackey Grounds
Richard Mackey Grounds, 59, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2007.
He was born in Charleston, W.Va., on May 26, 1947. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 32-years of service.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Ray Grounds; four brothers, Elmer Ray, Freddy Wayne, Roy Allen and Blane Lee Grounds.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Michael Grounds of Nashville; mother, Ada Nelson of Cabin Creek; stepmother, JoAnne Fraker of Ohley; one brother, Kenny Grounds of Ohley; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2007, at Millbranch Cemetery with the Rev. Autry Pridgen officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home & Cremations, 1052 South First St., Nashville, NC 27856.
