ROY B KITE, 67, DIES AT HIS HURDLAND HOME SUNDAY OF HEART AILMENT
Roy B Kite, of Hurdland, 67 years old, died at 3:30 o' clock Sunday morning at his home of a heart ailment, from which he had been suffering for some time.
Funeral services were at the Easley Funeral Home in Hurdland at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon by the Elder Clyde O Johnsonof Kirksville. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery at Hurdland.
Mr Kite is survived by his wife; four sons, Wendell Kite, and Warren Kite of Hurdland; and Woodrow and Willard Kite of Brashear; a daughter Wilma, Mrs. Lee Crawford of Quincy; a sister, Mrs. Hassie Basker of San Francisco California; a half-brother A.W. Kite of Los Angeles California and eleven grandchildren.
Roy Beecher Kite was the son of William and Harriet Smith Kite and was born May 2 1886 near Nashville, Tenn. He came to Missouri with his parents as a child and the family settled on a farm near Arbela.
He was married Oct 07, 1906 to Effie E Smith. Eight children were born to them, two of whom died in infancy and a son Wallace Kite died May 13 1950.
